It’s been a dark, cruel winter. Decades ago, Bananarama sang about a cruel summer.
“Hot summer streets and the pavements are burning
I sit around
Trying to smile but the air is so heavy and dry”
Just substitute out the word “summer” for “winter”. Such a word substitution captures the first quarter of this year for me. I didn’t quite get that song before. However, I now feel that song in a different way.
I could say some things are getting better. And, I’m trying to be proactive in how I try to right this life-ship.
I’m a spring baby. A Taurus. I’m stubborn but look forward to rejuvenation. Hope springs eternal.
