Here we go. I’ve noted this before. Many of us have been having wild dreams the past two years specifically, these pandemic years. It’s this universal wild dream ride we’ve been riding. Lucid dreaming feeling more common. Also, many people may actually technically get enough sleep, yet they are not well-rested. Many wake up riddled with anxiety.
However, there’s another side to pandemic dreaming. There’s the dreams and fantasies of a new life. The dreams of doing something new. The fantasies of starting anew. It’s happening everywhere and to many people. Some have dreamt of a new purpose in life. Others have faced reality and not liked it; willing to change. Willing to go for it. Hence the big resignation economy. And, these resignations are not necessarily about salary and money. Often it’s about respect and living a dignified life. Making this is not so much pandemic dreaming, but a pandemic awakening.
