Some might say she is a hoarder. But she doesn’t agree with such a characterization. She likes to characterize herself as a memory banker. Every single bit in her house, down to the straw, has an attached memory. She likes to make a lot of deposits. But she also makes many withdrawals. Some are for herself in order to get through a particularly hard time. And others she gives away. She likes to think of herself as Robin Hood. Ah. Probably wrong analogy. But today she was dipping in big because there was a grand need. She packed up her bag with her memory bank withdrawals and headed out the door. She walked down the street and could hear the sirens. There were so many. Too many. But she would be there.

What a wonderful little story! So much feeling and sadness in so few words – brilliantly penned :O)
