How do you unwind after a demanding day?
I can’t remember the last time I didn’t have a demanding day. Work, plus, medical appointments, plus taking care of the house tend to wear me down.
I actually started to write this post at 3 am, and then I finally felt tired. I had tried to write to unwind but just could not put pen to paper. Well, finger to screen.
It’s now 11:30 pm and I’m trying again to write this post. How do I unwind? Great question. I watch silly movies that keep me awake way past my bedtime and then feel fatigued. I try to make a mojito but don’t have all the ingredients. I try to take a bath, and the hot water is tepid. I look at my big yard, which has a groundhog, chipmunks, squirrels, and deer. They are all very cute. However, the dogs get agitated and start barking up a storm. I don’t even care to watch the news anymore as that too is agitating.
Unwinding is tiring and a bit overrated. That is what I have come to find.

I used to unwind. Now I collapse.
