I love the holidays. I’m lucky that in our household we celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas. It’s Chrismakkah. It’s lovely, nice, and reaffirming. I’m all in.
Yet, this year I started shopping early because I’m over the idea of shopping in covid times. Masking up. I’ll willingly do it but it is tiring. I have to make sure I don’t wear my glasses for fear of fogging up and not seeing things well. Then, I’ll probably over buy.
Supply chain. What a mess! The prices of everything are up. Even boxes and gift wrapping paper. I’m not going to go from one store to another looking for small things. Ok. Online shopping. Sure. I do it. I do it a lot. Too much. At 2am, you can find me ordering all sorts of dresses, shoes, and rum.

I am about 1/4 through my shopping and so far have done all of that online.

I love the joys of online shopping. Choosing birthday gifts for my wife and daughter (the only time I shop) is so much easier than driving through traffic, sifting through racks, finding the right sizes and so on.
