She was all knowing and all seeing. That’s how she saw herself. The world outside her window was her television and she watched with great enthusiasm. She also loved watching people through her grand variety of glasses, including sunglasses. For while she loved to watch the world, she hid her eyes from all. As you know, those who look into your eyes can capture your soul if they are bad-intentioned. That is what her all-knowing and all-seeing mother had warned her.

She loved walking past this window front and peering at all the glasses. So many ways to protect one’s soul. Then she saw a book she hadn’t seen before. She went in, glanced at the cover in awe, and opened the book. And, therein she was sucked into another universe. And she saw her mom from afar.
