Trusting words but waiting for actions

I am a sunny curmudgeon. I’m often skeptical but somehoe manage to give people the benefit of the doubt. I’m an odd duck. But I do go by the mantra of “trust but verify ” i learned that the hard way. There’s certain people you have to put in that bucket.

Or another way to phrase it is called “trusting words but waiting for actions.” Although, this mantra takes a much more wait and see approach.

Sometimes you trust and move forward. Other times you say that sounds good but I’m gonna wait. Roll the dice
