It had been a long day. An emotional one where they had come to pay tribute and say goodbye. Her heart was still swollen. She had needed to decompress.
She was deep into her nightime netflix binge when she automatically flicked something off her chest and sat up. Her heart was racing. What was that? She could have sworn something just walked across her. She grabbed her phone to try to shine a light around her. There was nothing. She couldn’t rest. She got up and put the light on. Nothing. But she knew there had been something. She grabbed a few sleeping pills and swallowed them. Her feet felt wet. But there was no water. Nothing. What was going on?
She was drowning.

I just finished a collection of ghost stories. Now this. It’s going to be a dream-filled night.
I like it.

With so much water on his feet, he did not feel his death. Story before going to sleep. Well done.
