Having fun with nonsensical words

Sometimes life is silly. Sometimes its frustrating. And at times, mysterious. It’s all also what you make of it. I was recently watching an episode of the television show called D.C. Legends of Tomorrow where a character is caught in a timeloop and finally decides to just have fun with it after repeatedly dying. The why is not important. And I might have horribly digressed. No, there is a point. Sometimes you just have to goof off in a surreal time of sadness and complexity. Today was such a day for me.

It started off with me having to write an impromptu business proposal for something I was not completely sure of. What did I do as a result? I winged it with a set of interesting words stringed together. I’m still not 100% sure what I proposed but it worked.

The day proceeded onto a more serious track where I spent numerous hours in the hospital trying to cheer up a dying friend. I did so with song, dance and just plain old silly stories.

One such story that I shared was how I did look up on Google years back how to boil an egg. It might seem super silly. However, there is an actual debate as to whether you start with the egg in water bringing it to a boil or you drop the egg in after the water is boiling. I then proceeded to just string together a bunch of silly words to the beat of Daddy Yankees new song. It’s what one does on a day like today. I can’t even begin to describe my emotional rollercoaster. But I can share my silly, strung-together non-sensical words pulled me through. Not bad.

  1. Like this! Talking about eggs…

Have you ever Googled an “ethical egg”?
Humane eggs, organic, Non-GMO, Vegetarian fed, Cage-free, Free-range, Pasture-raised, natural.

Eggs are not simple anymore…I still do not know what is an ethical egg and I feel guilty eating them…

  2. I’m so sorry about your friend, but I think your silly stories, singing & dancing would work wonders to live their spirit a little and break the tension. I totally agree – in times where things can get too serious, too awful, nonsense and silliness and humour are a coping mechanism that can really help lift things and get you through. Sending a hug your way…xx
