I recently recalled a tense situation from over five years back. It was a room filled with people who didn’t want to be there and a woman who was gruff and angry spilling her anger over everyone. I remember telling myself repeatedly that the situation would eventually end. Sometimes you just have to grin and bear it.
Fast forward to today. This past week. Past month. Past year. Grinning and bearing it seems unfathomable and unbearable. At times, I jokingly would state (to no one in particular other than myself): computer! End program. Although, arguable no one within a program could end the program. Well, depends on the failsafes in place, perhaps. It doesn’t matter.
What matters is that there are increasingly more and more moments where it would be nice to be able to make such a command.

Someone recently told me “Well, everything changes” as a way of reassuring that even if it doesn’t end, it will change. I’m not even sure if that’s good or bad!
