Be strong, but it’s ok to cry

We are strong. Or so we are told. We are encouraged to be strong. And, we want to be. We want to be full of strength. We want to exude it. But we are scared. And, that is ok. One can be both strong and scared. And, as a friend recently said to me: it’s ok to cry.

Tears can be cleansing and liberating. They can bring insight. They can bring more pain to the forefront. But you can tear it up and deconstruct it. Be willing to learn from the tears.
