I bathe in clarity seeking due parity

Saunter and idle banter
Chatter about non-matters
Substance oozed out long before
Your dog days of yore

A deep hardy hearty laugh
So muddy one needs a bath
Your burrowed pensive looks
Are all for your callously baited hooks

I am not your marionette
I don’t bow to your trumpeted clarinet
Why must the painted, vaulted righteous
Be so grandly vacuous

Saunter and swat yourself away
Your chatter no longer matters
Many are now bored
By the false charm you pour

I bathe in clarity
Seeking due parity
The hooks don’t sear into my soul
I am free to rock and bowl

Inspired by the daily prompt
