When do you feel most productive?
This morning, the day before my birthday, I woke up at 6:35am. Not atypical of me, by the way. I went downstairs, made coffee, and drank a red bull. Then, I decided to garden for two hours. Well, gardening is a strong yet gentle term. I did yard work. I sweat and filled up ten bags of twigs, bark, and more. I felt good. That was the old me.
I used to wake up so early and at work by 7:30am and get going. I would accomplish so much by 11:00 am that I could probably quit for the day. I am still highly productive in the morning if I can get motivated. Admittedly, it’s hard to be so motivated when you have to answer 101 emails. Yet, I still manage to be very productive. I’m both proud and annoyed at myself.
Now, I have become productive at 11pm. I clean, clean, and clean some more after midnight. I feel, at times, like a pod person. I ask myself, who is thos cleaning the dishes, the floor, and doing laundry. Is this me? Is this my beautiful house? Ah, now I’m singing Once in a Lifetime by Talking Heads.
