Here’s a short and sweet (actually more like prune juice) bit of advice for consideration: ignore gossip! Here’s the thing. Those who gossip to you, gossip about you. Plain and simple. Gossip is currency and hardly anyone gives anything away for free.
Gossipers are gnats. They are moving mounds of infestations. When they gossip to you, your reaction becomes the next bit of gossip. Just stop the chain reaction. You’ll live more peacefully.

I don’t gossip, but husband and I DO share information about other residents of our retirement community when we see them or chat with them, and our partner isn’t there at that moment.
