Tick tock. Tick tock. Time was ticking away. Time to motor and pick a lane. Time to outlast and outpace. Ticking. Ticking. Top choice and top dog were her favorite phrases. Tinkerbell had nothing on her. Time to step up. Throw herself into future. Troubadour spirit propelled her into the race.
Tick tock. Tick tock. The whistle blew and off she went. Time whispered in her ear. The crowd cheered and then disappeared. Though, they were never there. They never will be. The water was heavier dragging her down and down. Through the portal she went. Twirling through the vortex. Time was on her side. Time was a casualty of its success.
