Frozen and immovable
Racing thoughts and bubbles
Stuck and sticky suppositions
Curses and viles in the kitchen sink
Throw it all out with a bang
Could be good to great
But the cognac says otherwise
Lying and earnest ain’t a pretty look
It was all lost before
The past is present and the future is past
The pogo stick isn’t steady
But some still reach for a false star
It’s little comfort to unstick
But the layered thoughts can be better
A higher purpose than the combined ego
Will not wallow in the gleaming pond scum
Hurry along dear time
A better now is becoming untethered
