We are enclosed and ensnared

There is always time

For work

And more work

We are busy bees

Without a bonnet

Nor a true net

We walk the tightrope

Day in and day out

Hoping beyond hope

That there is a truth

And true meaning

Who wouldn’t to have some bearing?

But we bore into ourselves

Until we are skeletons of our true nature

A walk in the park this is not

We are enclosed and ensnared

Like next week’s tuna casserole

We cajole

We smirk

We grimace

We flex some supposed power

But it can’t even light up a 3-inch fan

We sweat and breakdown

We maintain a well versed sanity

But the words hold no meaning

Welcome to my dark side
