Supposedly they were all watching the same moon and stars. But nothing rang true anymore.
They were all uninhibited, laughing and reminiscing. But nothing felt right. They were all one, one for all. Best friends for a decade. But she didn’t feel that she knew him or him or her.
She leaned over and tried to see her glistening self. Then she saw the hand looming over her. Into the water she went never to be found again.
She truly had known better.

Short and to the point. Like part of the jacket blurb on a much longer novel. You should write it.
