There’s no way to escape the truth
Even when we lie to ourselves
Our truths linger in the precipice
Our lies bleed onto our conscious
The truth’s hangover is deep
Waves of guilt pushing out the venom
Crying only brings more pain
Nose to the bowl of lies
Freedom is a rotted tooth
With blighted flesh
As a nemesis
And a cold compress
But there is no other way to a clean sweep
Truth has many a mighty weapon
To break that chain
And dampen the false cries
Need to pierce the veils
Air out those ruddy tires
Fake out a fake
Break the breakers

Love it. Awesome poem and words to live by! I am about to publish a children’s book about truthfulness. Do you mind if I quote you in the front matter?
