How are you feeling right now?
This past week, life decided to play a little game of “let’s-see-how-she-handles-this.” First, an eagerly anticipated international trip, planned down to the last detail, was derailed at the eleventh hour. There I was, suitcase packed, passport in hand, but the universe had other plans. A canceled trip left me feeling like a deflated balloon—lost and a bit adrift.
But I wasn’t about to let that stop me. Plan B: a spontaneous local getaway. Surely, a short jaunt couldn’t go wrong, right? Wrong. A day into the trip, the non-flow of life struck again, and suddenly, I was headed back home, trip cut short, plans in tatters.
Now, I could have thrown a fit. I could have lamented the lost adventures, the missed opportunities. But instead, I’m choosing to go with the non-flow. Yes, sometimes life doesn’t just throw you a curveball; it tosses the whole playbook out the window. But maybe that’s the point—sometimes, we’re not meant to be where we planned.
So, what’s next? A new slate of trips for the rest of the year. The world’s still out there, and so am I. I’ll adjust my sails, chart new courses, and maybe even embrace the unpredictability. After all, it’s the twists and turns, the detours and delays, that make the journey worthwhile. Here’s to going with the flow—or rather, the non-flow—and finding new adventures wherever they may lead.

Eek! With an upcoming trip myself, this one hits too close to home. 😅 Well, hopefully everything will go as planned, but if not – thank goodness for trip insurance, right? I do hope you manage to go on your trip after all, even if it’s been delayed.
