What cities do you want to visit?
In the dance of city lights and wanderlust dreams, my mind often twirls through the streets of new possibilities. Travel, a symphony of experiences, beckons me like a siren. Now, don’t get me wrong—I’ve waltzed through a fair share of cities, living in over 23 of them and crisscrossing all 50 states. Yet, the craving for new horizons persists, and if I could strike a deal with time, I’d work less and traverse more.
New York, my concrete jungle, will always hold a piece of my heart. The rhythm of New Orleans, the pulse of Hong Kong, the timeless charm of London—they’ve woven stories into the fabric of my soul. Tokyo’s neon-lit adventures, the artistic allure of Montreal, the ancient whispers of Rome, and the resilient spirit of Berlin—all chapters in my urban saga.
But where to next?
Shanghai beckons, not just for its modern skyline but as a nod to the classic film “The Lady from Shanghai.” Rita Hayworth’s mystique deserves a pilgrimage, and the city’s allure adds a layer of cinematic magic to my wanderlust.
Buenos Aires, the city of tango and passion, awaits my eager steps. I envision losing myself in its vibrant streets, surrendering to the rhythm of life that pulses through every corner.
Then there’s Chefchaouen, the fabled blue city of Morocco. Its azure-hued labyrinthine streets call to my senses, promising a sensory journey unlike any other. And why stop there? Casablanca, with its cinematic echoes, whispers tales of intrigue and romance, inviting me to step into its silver-screen narrative.
Maybe, just maybe, I should embark on a cinematic pilgrimage, tracing the footsteps of iconic movies. Casablanca, Shanghai, and who knows—perhaps a detour to Paris à la “Midnight in Paris” or a stroll back through Vienna inspired by “Before Sunrise.”
As dreams unfurl like ancient maps, I realize there’s a world beyond the cities I’ve known. The mere thought of these unexplored streets, unseen skylines, and the promise of new stories excites my wanderlust.
For now, I’ll let my imagination soar, exploring the possibilities of travel, a passport stamped with dreams yet to be lived. To dream, to dream—because in dreams, every city is just a heartbeat away.
