A storm is brewing: I’ll be the tempest, the thunder, the rain

I felt like a melody today. I was in a poetic state of mind. I woke up knowing that a tempest is brewing. I woke up bothered, more so than usual, by inauthenticity. Here is what is spinning in my mind.

In a world of plastic smiles and empty words,
Where the truth is obscured, like distant thunder unheard,
I stand here on the edge, where authenticity collides,
With a storm that’s brewing deep inside.

No more pretending, no more masquerade,
I’ll break these chains that bind, I won’t be afraid,
To let my darkness show, my heart untamed,
In the midst of this tempest, I’ll find my name.

A storm is brewing, lightning in my veins,
I won’t conform to the world’s shallow games,
I’ll be the tempest, the thunder, the rain,
In the midst of this chaos, I’ll stake my claim.

I’m a rebel with a cause, a renegade in disguise,
Through the smoke and the mirrors, I see through their lies,
I’ll walk the path less traveled, where the brave souls reside,
In the eye of this hurricane, where secrets can’t hide.

I’ll raise my voice, let it echo in the night,
I’ll tear down these walls, let the truth take flight,
In the clash of the elements, I’ll find my way,
Through the darkest of nights, I’ll face the day.

A storm is brewing, lightning in my veins,
I won’t conform to the world’s shallow games,
I’ll be the tempest, the thunder, the rain,
In the midst of this chaos, I’ll stake my claim.

In the midst of this tempest, I’ll find my way,
A storm is brewing, and I’m here to stay,
With the fire in my soul, I’ll light up the night,
In the crossroads of darkness, I’ll be the guiding light.
