In the depths of heartbreak’s cruel embrace,
I wandered through a shadowed place,
Where pain cut deep, like jagged knife,
And shattered dreams became my life.
Gutted, torn, my soul laid bare,
I wondered if I’d find repair,
For in that moment’s searing heat,
I questioned if I’d still be me.
Did the heartbreak change me: maybe,
Yet in my core, I still feel free,
For through the tears and endless ache,
My spirit’s strength refuses to break.
The DNA of resilience, true,
Remains untouched, unwavering too,
Though scars adorn my wounded heart,
My essence remains a work of art.
So, did the heartbreak change me: maybe,
But deep within, I found the key,
To rise above, to mend, to grow,
For change is part of life’s grand flow.
So, though I’m changed, I’m still the same,
A phoenix rising from the flame.
