My son’s voice of encouragement

I have a tween boy. That means moodiness is his thing now. He corrected me the other day to note it wasn’t moodiness but instead annoyance. Yikes. Understood.

With that said, he’s very sweet and has a gentle, caring predisposition. His friend was recently diagnosed with a disease. Or a condition. Not horrific, mind you. But his friend was still worried.

My son immediately noted to him “we got this. What do we have to do?” In that moment, I was in grand awe. I still am. I look to him for inspiration. I see adults tearing each other up for sport or for a fake, fleeting sense of power. Yet, I see these tween boys being supportive and holding each other up.

Love.
