I’d fallen through the murky abyss
And, then I woke up
I nodded off to the melody
And, then I woke up
I hit the snooze button over 1000 times
And, then I woke up
The bright lights blinded me into a deep sleep
And, then I woke up
The floor provided hardening comfort
And, then I woke up
The ghosts haunted my dreams for way too long
And, then I woke up
The lullaby grabbed my sheep
And, then I woke up
The thoughts streamed like a drive-in theater
And, then I woke up
The dreams left fragrant false trails to pursue
And, then I woke up
The mobile in the ceiling gave me false hope
And, then I woke up
The bamboo pillow sunk me into a reverie
And, then I woke up
Curried raisins danced diagonally up the shafts
And, then I wondered what it was all about
And, then I woke up
