It is midnight in this new city
It is hot and cold and dizzying
Taken in by the beauty and its choking air
My mind is playing tricks on me
What are these little creatures
Racing through my head
Are they real or are they a figment
Of my highly fermented imagination
Goblins and ghouls buzzing about
Causing chaos as they rule
My line of sight is littered with drool
And spots of gray tumbling down
Little critters, little critters
Pranking, dancing and prancing
Causing fluttering eyelids through their riots
Crying a righteous giggle
Oh to be a deliciously devious rum goblin
As the Monday dawn breaks through
Piercing the affected veil of ennui
