Embracing the Unknown: Ten Years from Now

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Ah, the perennial question: “Where do you see yourself in 10 years?” As I ponder this query, my mind becomes a kaleidoscope of possibilities, each one more tantalizing than the last.

In one scenario, I envision myself embarking on a special trip with my son, as he reaches a pivotal age where every moment is a cherished memory in the making. We traverse distant lands, exploring new cultures and forging bonds that transcend time and distance.

Simultaneously, I find myself immersed in a career where I make a tangible difference in the healthcare community. Whether it’s advocating for better access to care or pioneering innovative solutions, I am driven by a passion to create positive change.

But ah, life has a funny way of throwing curveballs when we least expect it. Perhaps in 10 years, I’ll find myself penning novels, weaving tales of love, loss, and redemption that capture the hearts of readers worldwide. Or maybe I’ll trade my keyboard for a microphone, serving as a television political pundit, dissecting the intricacies of the ever-evolving political landscape with wit and wisdom.

And then there’s the wild card: house builder extraordinaire. Who’s to say I won’t channel my inner architect and embark on a journey of creating homes that are not just structures, but havens of comfort and joy for families to thrive in.

In the end, the beauty lies in embracing the unknown, in being open to the myriad possibilities that life has to offer. Ten years from now, I may not have all the answers, but one thing is certain – I’ll be living life to the fullest, seizing every opportunity with gusto and gratitude. After all, it’s not about where we end up, but the adventures we have along the way.

  1. In ten years, I hope to have Pride’s Children finished, and to have recorded the three audiobooks. Ten years is a realistic expectation for how long it will take.

If you want to be a novelist ten years from now, start learning, start writing – it takes a while.
