At your lowest points, you can lift yourself up by hauling up notable moments

Describe one of your favorite moments.

Even in the dark times, there are bright moments. And in the brightly lit moments, there are brilliant moments. You just have to be aware enough to capture them. You also have to pocket those moments into your memory bank so that you can call upon them when needed. At your lowest points, you can lift yourself up by hauling up those notable moments.

One moment that I like to call upon is that of when my son was about one month old. It was around 3am and he was hungry. I went downstairs with him, sat on the couch, and put the television on. I put it on closed caption and breast-fed him. I was semi-asleep, but I felt tightly bonded to him as I watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer on mute. It was kind of a perfect moment. Me and my boy watching a fierce woman saving the world.

  1. The first time I tried magic mushrooms comes to mind..(I’ll spare the details). I’d be remiss not to mention the births of my sons, or the day my son made sergeant…or well, gosh, I guess it’s been a pretty great life, come to think of it.
