Do you remember your favorite book from childhood?
It seems this is nostalgia week. Makes sense in that in our minds here, it is the beginning of summer, and we have high expectations of great memories to be made.
Looking back at childhood, I was consumed by books. I read with a voracious appetite. As to which book was my favorite? I couldn’t tell you. I know that Catcher in the Rye always stuck with me. And, still, does to some extent.
Interestingly, perhaps my favorite movie growing up was Silence of the Lambs. I was completely intrigued by the personalities and machinations. I suppose the same could be said about Catcher in the Rye. This may be why my mother claims I wanted to be a psychologist from a very early age.
Maybe I’ll pick up a book this summer. Oh, what to chose?

Wow, that’s pretty nice. For someone with your taste, I’ll refer you to “The Magic Factory”. I read mine recently on Apple Books. Plus, the audiobook for it is free. Good luck!

I have been re-reading books I liked before. I did re-read “Catcher in the Rye” a couple of years ago. I’m also going through books that belonged to my mother and my father’s mother. Most are vintage 1920’s through 1940’s, like Hemingway, Steinbeck, Costain, and others.
