Nostalgia is burning right through me
Embers in my eyes
Giving a fiery, hot glow to the past
Making a warm toast seem like a flaming cherry jubilee
Nostalgia has got a hold on me
Tighter than a straight-jacket
Booming loudly through my eardrums
My heartbeat racing stronger, louder, and erratically
Nostalgia is keeping me up at nightÂ
Lulling me into fits of lucid dreams
Keeping the fire logs going
Breathe in and rejoice in warmth

Nostalgia gilds everything. Truly nothing was ever as grand as it is in the present.
