My world this past year has been steeped in the word transition. Everything has been about transition and restructuring. I transitioned from East Coast to West Coast. I transition into a new position back in February and am about to do so again in a week. I transitioned locations and jobs in order to to help these agencies engaged in their own transition. In my field I took on a larger advocacy role around those themselves transitioning in terms of gender.
Transition is everywhere now. Everyone seems to be engaging in some type of personal transformation. We are seeking new selves. We are seeking new shoes to fill and new doors to walk through. As Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead remind us “Look on every exit as being an entrance somewhere else.”
For me, those moments that seem sunny can change so quickly into dark, thunderous storms.
That is why despite all the transitions if one stays grounded and remember the path before, one can navigate the many transitions that life and its journey throws at us.

All of life is transition, even if you don’t want it to be, something happens to bring change, and it’s all good, we learn from everything that happens.

Great post Mimi. Really hits home. I have never heard the quote “Look on every exit as being an entrance somewhere else”, but that’s golden!
