There are days, many more so nowadays it seems, where the air is heavy with all your burdens. It is as if you are walking through a life maze mired in the fog of being. It happens to everyone at one point or another. Too many decisions, too little right choices, and too little time and too many demands. Does that capture life for many?
Don’t we wish we were indeed light as a feather or that at least our worries were so. It is ok to take a moment to try to breathe in fresh air and breath out the troubled stale air from our souls. Just do it. take that second,t hat minute that hour, that day. everything else will still be there more or less.
The other night, I did just that. I took the night for myself. I could have rushed to make it to a get together where we would have hung out for maybe at most 45 minutes. I decided to not rush out and just stay home and not work. I just took a bath and watched the news. Somehow, it was liberating to watch the news. Often times it just weighs one down. But I rather enjoyed just taking the world in from a distance and letting my mind wander.
Milan Kundera wrote about the “Unbearable Lightness of Being.” In this grand novel it is noted that in an “infinite universe, everything is guaranteed to recur infinitely”. Indeed. Which is exactly why we must relish in the lightness of being. The ephemeral. Make a wish and watch a feather fly away.

Glad to know that you CAN slow down and that it achieved the desired effect, if only momentarily.
