Oh It is Monday: Time for my Ghost Dog Sighting

Oh It is Monday: Time for my Ghost Dog Sighting

The morning sky was dark
My head and hair frizzy and fuzzy
filled with songs of the lark

First, there was a bunny
Surely, he was real
Or was I just hungry

Then, there was my dog
Surely, he wasn’t real
Seemed I needed some grog

Yet my regal dog remained
peering into the back door
With some grumpiness ingrained

This was not the first,
second or third time
I was seeing him in a burst

Sure enough he couldn’t be real
As his ashes remained inside the urn
And no one had peeled back the seal

What was he trying to tell me
For if my mom were alive
She would surely issue an omen decree

Rabbits and ghost dog omens
Are hard to decipher
Leaving behind a knotted abdomen

Should I run to my pillow fort
Wishing for my mommy
For i have been caught short

I could have a shot or two of rum
But the bunny is a sight
Of good things to come

I must believe my ghost dog sightings
Are probably meant to provide comfort
And good tidings

Out of the corner of my eye
I see my ghost doggie scamper
And I am filled with joyous cries
