I’ve been tuning into Bloomberg News again, and let me tell you, it’s become my daily dose of witty inspiration. Last week, it was all about stickiness—a term they threw out as if it were the key to understanding the entire economy. I thought, “Sticky like gum under your shoe or sticky like a great piece of life advice?” Not sure, but it stuck with me. Pun intended.
Fast forward to today, and Bloomberg hits me with another gem. The commentator casually drops that this presidential transition period is like “watching sausage-making in real time.” Cue the chuckle. Now, there are a lot of things I’m willing to see in real time—like the sunrise or maybe a good Netflix binge—but watching political sausage being made? That’s a hard pass for me.
It got me thinking—peekaboo was such a great game as a kid. You could pop your head up, see what’s going on, and decide if you wanted to stay or hide. If only life worked like that! In this age of real-time everything, maybe we need a little more peekaboo and a little less sausage-making.
So, here I am, jotting down thoughts as Bloomberg fills my screen with quirky phrases that make me pause, laugh, and occasionally ponder the absurdity of it all. Here’s to more stickiness, sausage-free real-time moments, and finding the humor in the chaos. Cheers!
