Invent a holiday! Explain how and why everyone should celebrate.
Holidays. They’ve pretty much all been taken, right? National Dog Day, Mojito Day… you name it, there’s an “observance” for it. Even Chrismukkah is already a thing (and yes, I proudly celebrate it). But the other day, I started thinking: where’s my holiday? Where’s the official recognition for those of us who are quirky, fun, and a little bit offbeat? And then it hit me—Cool Crazy Aunt Day.
I mean, if there’s a National Margarita Day, why can’t there be a day to honor the cool, slightly eccentric aunt who shows up to family gatherings with the best stories, the weirdest gifts, and just the right amount of sass? You know, the aunt who teaches her nieces and nephews the important life lessons, like how to avoid awkward family conversations and the art of a perfect high five. Or maybe that’s just me. But still, I think we deserve a day!
I envision Cool Crazy Aunt Day as a celebration of life’s quirky adventures. We could send cards with random jokes, give weird-but-useful gifts (who doesn’t need a rubber chicken or fuzzy socks?), and host impromptu dance parties. The possibilities are endless, and trust me, they’re all awesome.
So while National Dog Day and Mojito Day can have their time in the sun, I’m over here declaring that *Cool Crazy Aunt Day* is officially on the calendar. All you aunts out there—get ready to embrace your coolness and celebrate your unique place in the family. Because being a little crazy isn’t just fun—it’s a gift.

Perfect…👍. I love it 😁

I’ll vote for that day, and I think my nieces would too! 😊 Maggie

I want to start “National Toilet Paper Application Week” highlighted in yellow ( as it is America’s favorite pastel color) the last week of July every year. Everyone in the World uses it yet nobody has the instructions for toilet paper 🗞️📜Who figured out how to use it? Brilliant!!! Let’s start this next year! Inspired by The Director of All That Moves, have a nice day 🙄🙈 🌊
