It’s Friday night, and instead of hitting the town, I’m hitting the couch with Netflix and a snack that probably isn’t part of any wellness plan I endorse. As a psychologist, I can’t help but wonder—what does my viewing history say about me? Sure, I’ll start with a murder mystery to unwind (no issues there, right?), throw in a rom-com for balance, and maybe cap it off with a documentary on ancient civilizations because, you know, learning.
But here’s the real question: am I choosing these shows, or is my subconscious secretly working through my unresolved issues with the main characters? Maybe my addiction to true crime is really just me mentally solving the puzzle of life… or I’m in desperate need of a plot twist in my own. Either way, the analysis can wait until Monday—tonight, it’s just me, the remote, and a total lack of guilt.

Good questions – because only the subtly good shows keep getting watched.
We’re doing a rerun of Dead Like Me – with Ellen Muth and Mandy Patinkin – and wondering why she stopped acting. Quirky – and good.
