Your indignity is splashed on the wall: Go back to those days of yore

Your indignity is splashed on the wall: Go back to those days of yore

Your indignity is splashed onthe wall

It drips revoltingly so
The cold steely knife lies in your mind’s stall
It all pools into a piercing bile ball

It is now done
Your promise was not honored
Say goodbye to that metaphorical gun
Your world viewed ominously colored

Self hatred and loathing
It all fits you like a body-molded glove
You sadly wear your pity-stained clothing
With no hope from above

Ponder where it all goes
Pushed too far
Muddled in a dog’s rose
Prickly, pink and au revoir

The wall can be cleaned
The drips lopped up
But you have not been weaned
Its time to drain the cup

Go back to those days of yore

  1. These are some deep ones as far as each line of this goes. Please forgive my ignorance, what does “days of Yore” exactly refer to? I love yourwork and artistic feel that goes into the souls of our busy, not so important lives. I love your work and artistic feel. 😉

    • thank you so much for your kind comments. in the piece “the days of yore” was a reference to what the person may have experienced before things got so bleak -the mythology of those days since people always infer there was a better time but perhaps there wasn’t.
thanks for reading and asking. I hope you are having a fantabulous day!
