Traveling through Louisiana’s swamplands: The beauty of trees
My business travels can be brutal waking up at 6am and changing hotels every night for a week; checking in at 9pm. Literally, my business trips are a prime example of going the extra mile.
This past week, I was in Louisiana road-tripping across the state for work meeting with key stakeholders and partners all through the day and evening. It was a long, hard challenging trip. One of the special perks, however, was getting to see and experience the world of Louisiana outside of New Orleans. The other perk was getting to experience the beauty of Louisiana.
These are photographs I was able to take while going at 75 miles per hour from meeting to meeting across the state of Louisiana. These photographs are focused on the tree life of the Louisiana farm and swamp lands.
Louisiana is known for its swamplands. Sometimes the swamps are portrayed in films and popular culture as scary and filled with danger. The beauty often obscured.
Besides little critters you dig into the swamps and you may pull out a beautiful flower or two.
Throughout all of Louisiana you are embedded in the life of trees. Even when you are at a crossroad in life.
