The day after Thanksgiving. Our bellies are full. We’ve taking a 1,001 naps. We may have shopped. Perhaps solely online. We are starting to decorate the Christmas trees. And, here is our conundrum. Our minds are racing to figure out what the holidays will look like. Quarantined. A bit too much eggnog. Not enough hugs.
Are we in the mindset of foreboding joy or are we anticipating regret? Conflicting emotions. Conflicting forecasting. We are in a topsy-turvy unbalanced brain wave. We can hope. But so many of us last December had high hopes for 2020. And, this was the year that wasn’t. Do we think we will regret certain actions to come? Are we scared of expecting joy?
