Pigeons often appear in my New York stories. They are such an integral part as they can be found and are everywhere. You also stand a certain chanced of being pooped on from above. That’s New York life for you.

They are an urban nature staple. I came across a big group eating together. Nice to see communal dining. I laughed at the sighting. Everything is coming back to normal.

As I walked past them, I wondered what their past year of NYC covid living had been. I wondered if they had noticed there were less people hanging around. Less people to fly about.
