Despite your trepidation you enter the fray
Despite your gut you say that it is ok
Despite knowing its wrong you believe that it is right
You fool yourself into thinking you can go though with it all
But it ain’t ok
It isn’t meant to be
The circus lures you with great play
The set stage spells holiday
The shiny object is bright
The mirror stands tall
But it ain’t ok
It isn’t meant to be
You knew it was a charade
You lulled yourself into thinking it was real
But the deal had a blight
The truth emerged and the charade took a fall
Don’t go back

Again, this sounds like my last job. Any wonder I still have nightmares that are set in that office?
